No time for lunch at home - I was starving! But they found me some absolutely wonderful bagels!! (One of the things I really miss about having left Amsterdam...)
It was my choice which ceramics we would be painting. I choose a pastry set. Being the bachelorette, I got to work on the big cake plate. Starting with the bottom side allowed us to proactice a bit.
Hyang - a mother of three weeks!! - joined us in Amsterdam. Thanks Hyang!
Ingrid, my cousin. It had been her idea - who would have guessed?! (She's an artist ;-)) Made two beautiful plates.
We're just laboring away
Hyang is giving me some tips
Jacqueline hard at work. We didn't beleive her "I am really not very creative!" anymore by that time
This is just like we did in grade school!
Still laboring away
I didn't know we had candy! (Hyang discovers there was candy by the time it was basically all gone... and no, I did not eat all of it!)
Ingrid's plate. She came up with the idea to use the charicatures of our wedding inviation as a central theme on the plates.
I'm trying a new technique with a sponge...
Hyang at work
I'm on my second plate, a small one this time.
As there was a plate with just my charicature on it, Jacqueline insisted there should be one of Rob by himself too. So she did here second plate...
... and not a bad job in such a short time!!
We're basically all done, but waiting for Ingrid to finish...
The end result
